a nice place to chill, all tucked away in the east

Poh and I were thinking of a place for dinner when Barks’ Cafe popped to mind. Tucked away in the suburbs, one may not find it easily if one ain’t a Easterner. It was really easy for us as we had stayed in the East for close to 10 years and the neon blue signboard carrying the name of the restaurant is easily spotted from the main road leading to Changi Museum.

The good thing about this place is there is usually one of the service crew positioned in the carpark, pointing to the available car park slots and directing cars to them so that the cars can be lined up neatly and more cars could be parked in the space available.

After we had parked our cars, we made our way to the restaurant. It isn’t air-conditioned but the nice ambience and the experience of dining al-fresco while sipping a cold beer is indescribable. Surrounded by greens, one can escape from all the hustle and bustle of work aside and focus on the delicious food served here.

The Bark Cafe 1000 Upper Changi Road North Tel: 6545 4118

We placed order for Poh’s favourite fried chicken wings and got ourselves each a main. They ran out of fettucini that day so we settled for spaghetti.

Spaghetti with Bacon

Prawn Spaghetti in Cream Sauce

Blueberry Cheesecake

Once the food has arrived, we were Allllll ready to NOM NOM!

Do check out this place as they often have promotions for their beers as well as different occasions such as the Oktoberfest recently! Ring them up before you pop by!

Tis the month to drink alcohol...

Til the next post! 🙂
